Gunlom Campground
Type of camping: Managed campsite
Situated near some of Kakadus most famous plunge pools, Gunlom
Campground is a popular location for a cool dip on a hot day.
Campground facilities provide for a comfortable stay and each
morning youll wake to the call of lorikeets, honey eaters, galahs
and kookaburras. Just minutes from the lower plunge pool and waterfall,
a short hike of about 450 m takes you above the falls where one
of natures most spectacular infinity pools offers breathtaking
views of southern Kakadu. If youre up bright and early, try the
2.5 km return walk leading to Murrill Billabong and the South
Alligator River.
