The turn off to Alligator Billabong is 2 km from Aurora Kakadu Resort where a 22 km 4WD track takes you through savanna woodlands to the billabong. There are no facilities or defined camping areas and most visitors find a shaded area to set up camp. There are no formed boat ramps but there is one boat launching opportunity.

Two kilometres from Aurora Kakadu Resort theres a turnoff that
takes you down an 18 km track through savanna woodlands to three
billabongs. The first is Red Lily Billabong
. Bucket Billabong is a further 2 km down the
track, closely followed by Alligator Billabong
. You wont find facilities or defined camping areas so just pick
a shady spot near one of the fireplaces to set up camp.
